The COVID-19 pandemic has caused uncertainty, unease, grief and suffering. Now more than ever it is important to come together as a province and a country to support each other. Thanking those risking their lives to help us and giving to local food banks are powerful ways to show gratitude. Wearing a Purple Ribbon symbolizes that support and shows we are thankful.<\/p>\n

Castlegar Community Services<\/h4>\n

The Castlegar & District Community Services Society embraced the Purple Ribbon campaign. The organization has several programs including Safe Home and Chrissy\u2019s Place. Purple Ribbon Campaign 2020 Contributions Exceed $47K<\/h4>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

The Boilermakers have been honouring essential workers through the Purple Ribbon Campaign. The program donates funds and food to local food banks.<\/p>\n

From coast-to-coast Boilermaker Lodges made contributions to support Canadian Food Banks to show their support for essential workers. In 2020 contributions exceeded $47,000.<\/p>\n

These funds have been raised in several different ways:<\/p>\n
