Boilermakers Support Adicus Bird for a Second Season
Boilermakers are once again proud to say they are supporting Adicus Bird, an expert BMX rider, in reaching her goal of representing Canada against the best female riders in the world at the 2020 Olympics. In the 2017 season, Adicus achieved Canadian Age Group #2, Canadian National Championship #3 and B.C. Championship #2.
Training up to 6 days a week, her goal this season is to be #1. Adi is on both the Canadian and B.C. Provincial teams where she has been training for events like the Canada Cup Series and the Canadian National Championship that will be held in Ontario and Quebec this summer.
In 2017 Adi was awarded the Comox Valley Chamber of Commerce Youth Leadership Award on Vancouver Island in recognition of her positive influence on young riders by encouraging them to set and reach goals.

The 2017 season had two significant challenges – an injury to the ankle and another to the elbow – but it did not slow her down, it only increased her commitment to train and improve as a rider once she was healed. Learn more about Adi on her website www.adicusbird.com .
