Boilermakers from Local Lodges 73 & 203 participated in an 8-hour class led by the three top jurisdictional experts, International Representatives Marty Stanton, Cory Channon and Kent Oliver.
The Boilermakers were introduced to the history of jurisdiction, jurisdictional agreements between the IBB and the Ironworkers, United Association, Sheet Metal workers and Carpenters/Millwrights. The participants were instructed on how a job markup takes place, how to substantiate Boilermaker claims in the event of a dispute and how assignment appeals take place.
