Industry Award of Excellence
Each year at the Awards Banquet the NTTF trustees take the opportunity to acknowledge an individual or individuals who over the years have demonstrated commitment, dedication, and support for apprenticeship training. The award is titled "Industry Award of Excellence."
This year we recognize not only an individual but the company he founded in 1975, Edmonton Exchanger. That individual is Henry Gusse who passed away this year at the age of eighty-five. Henry himself was a boilermaker and a member of Local 146 for sixty years. He made a decision in his life to start a refinery service company that would profoundly change the lives of most boilermaker members for Local 146 and hundreds if not thousands of Boilermakers across Canada.
Please watch this short video which was shown at the Awards Banquet on September 5, 2018, as part of the recognition for Henry Gusse and Edmonton Exchanger. Larry Gusse, his son and current President of Edmonton Exchanger accepted the award on behalf of Henry Gusse.
