2016 Boilermaker Top Apprentices

Following the Alberta Owners Appreciation Day on August 25th, the Boilermaker Industry honoured the top graduate apprentices from across Canada for their commitment to the Boilermaker Trade.

National Director of National Training, Grant Jacobs, noted that each of the graduate apprentices are the future of the industry as leaders with the Union, Employers and Trade.

The Boilermaker Industry also honoured Don McFarlane for his many years of service to the Boilermaker Industry. McFarlane retired this March as the President and General Manager of Cessco Fabrication & Engineering starting in 1991. Prior to that he spent 10 years with Babcock & Wilcox Canada.

Throughout his career Don has served the industry in a number of capacities such as Director for the Boilermakers Contractors Association of Canada and on many other boards.
