2010 Canadian Boilermaker National Graduate Apprenticeship Contest to take place at Northern Alberta Institute of Technology in June
National Training Coordinator, Grant Jacobs, has announced the 17th Annual Canadian Boilermaker Graduate Apprenticeship Contest is being held June 20-24, 2010 in Edmonton, Alberta. The practical testing will take place at N.A.I.T. Campus.
For an apprentice to be eligible to compete for the Canadian Boilermaker Graduate Apprenticeship contest, the candidates must:
- be indentured in the Boilermaker program;
- not have received more that one year of time credit prior to starting their apprenticeship in the Boilermaker program;
- have completed their final year of in-school training during the period of September 1, 2009 through June 30, 2010; and
- have worked the required number of hours to complete their apprenticeship during the period July 1, 2009 through June 30, 2010 or have reasonable expectations to complete the required hours during the following year after completing the last period of in-school training.
