Seeking Your Opinion on EI Services

The Government of Canada is seeking opinions from Canadians on ways to improve services to Employment Insurance. See the note below and link to the online survey.

The following text is from the Government of Canada:

Greetings,

The Government of Canada is taking action to improve services for Canadians. On May 12, it launched the Employment Insurance Service Quality Review, a nationwide consultation process with key stakeholders and the public to seek their input on ways to improve services to Employment Insurance (EI) claimants.

According to Service Canada data, too many Canadians are not receiving the level of service they expect. When someone loses a job through no fault of their own or experiences a major life event, they should not have to wait weeks, even months, to receive benefits.

We invite you to complete the online survey. Your feedback will be used to develop recommendations for ministers to consider in shaping service delivery improvements that will meet the expectations of Canadians. We also graciously ask that you encourage your membership to participate and complete the survey or participate in a town hall meeting. To assist you in reaching out to your membership, please find enclosed an email template for you to use at your leisure.

More information on this consultation is available at: http://www.esdc.gc.ca/en/consultations/ei/service_quality_review.page

Collaboration between government and organizations like yours is crucial to finding solutions that will improve policies and programs and bring about positive change for Canadians.

Your views are very important and we encourage you to share these links with your colleagues and membership.

Sincerely,

Terry Duguid, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Families, Children and Social Development

Rodger Cuzner, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Employment, Workforce Development and Labour

Rémi Massé, Member of Parliament for Avignon-La Mitis-Matane-Matapédia
