Today is the 70th Anniversary of D-Day

Canadians CANNOT forget our heroic soldiers who fought and died on D-Day.

On June 6, 1944, more than 24,000 Canadians took part in D-Day, the first step in liberating Europe from Nazi Germany and the beginning of the end of the Second World War. Operation Overlord, as it was called, was the most successful invasion in modern military history - and Canada played a key role.
