Interactive On-line Blueprint Reading, Tank Building & Layout Courses Now Available on The Boilermaker Virtual Campus!

The newly added Blueprint Reading, Tank Building and Layout programs on the Boilermaker Virtual Campus (BVC) will provide an opportunity for Members to upgrade through self-paced study in the comfort of their own home, as well providing reference material, visuals, and an interactive platform that Boilermaker instructors can use to complement the subjects covered within the Boilermaker Common Core Curriculum.

Included in the new on-line resources are ten (10) individual Blueprint lessons that provide instruction in the fundamentals of interpreting drawings, which then steadily advance participants in their ability to confidently access and identify crucial information from the heavily detailed and industry specific prints found within the program.

The Tank Building and Layout modules will assist new apprentices and journeymen in their understanding of the methods and proper sequencing required to ensure efficient and high quality field construction. It is a tremendous benefit for our Boilermaker instructors from across the country to have access to the Boilermaker Virtual Campus and its various lessons, which can be referenced or even assigned as an interactive learning activity for apprentices. The National Training Trust Fund (NTTF) urges all boilermaker members to visit the Boilermaker Virtual Campus (BVC) within the Members Only Section (click on "E-learning" in the menu) of the Boilermaker.ca website and to take advantage of the many learning and upgrading opportunities that are available to members.
