Boilermakers Support Adicus Bird

Meet Adicus Bird, an expert BMX rider who has earned her number 1 ranking for her age group in the country in the most prestigious and well attended racing series in Canada. Her dream is to race against the fastest and best female riders in the world at the 2020 Olympics.

To reach her goal she must compete in races across North America for the top spots to get world rankings. In July she will be going to the 2017 BMX World Championship Race in Rockhill, South Carolina. She will be attending the Canadian National Championship Race, Canada Cup Series, BC BMX Championship and the BC Premier BMX Series along with races on the Lower Mainland and Vancouver Island throughout the year.

To prepare and train for her rankings she must be disciplined and mentally tough. In her hometown on Vancouver Island, Adicus goes to the gym three or four times a week to work with a trainer and then off to Abbotsford B.C. where the only indoor BMX track in the province is open during the winter months. In the summer she will be racing in the top BMX racing series.

The Boilermaker are proud to say we support Adicus Bird in reaching her goal.
