A Boilermaker Fundraising for his Neighbours
Members of the International Brotherhood of Boilermakers are always finding ways to contribute to the community in which they live. One example of this is Brother Glenn Aker of Lodge 73. On January 18, 2012, Aker and his band mates from MC Bern Cleary spent the evening at Shindigs Pub in Port Hawkesbury, NS, fundraising for the local food bank society. The night of blues raised $5,427.00.

Helping in the fundraising with their donations were Boilermakers Union Local 73, Cape Breton Building Trades, Pipefitters Union Local 682, Labourers Union Local 1115, Millwrights Union Local 1178 and Pipefitters Union Local 244.
