CESSCO lockout in Edmonton drags on and on

More than two dozen Boilermakers of Lodge 146 have been locked out at CESSCO Fabrication and Engineering in Edmonton since June 28. Day after day, they walk their picket lines in the freezing cold as the company refuses to return to the negotiating table. CESSCO’s “final offer” called for a 10% cut in wages, cuts to pension contributions, and the gutting of seniority language in the contract.

Boilermakers are standing firm. The International continues to apply pressure on the company. Read IVP Arnie Stadnick’s latest letter to CESSCO’s parent company’s CEO, Amanda Hawkins of Canerector Inc. by clicking here (PDF).
