Ontario Passes Legislation to Reduce Redundant Training

There is always time for a good news story. The Boilermakers have always been advocates for ensuring our members have the best training possible. We have also been advocates to reduce redundant training. A step in the right direction was announced by the Ontario government. Fall protection training from Newfoundland and Labrador will now be accepted in Ontario as equal to Working at Heights Training. The course content was almost identical. The new regulation will become effective on January 1, 2021. Here is a link:

The benefits of this decision will be seen first and foremost by our members. Reducing the amount of time we spend redoing the same certification. A step in the right direction.
