Jim Beauchamp – 2025 LEEA Award Winner – Trainer of the Year

“Jim has changed the way people think about rigging in Canada. Nearly 500 workers have trained under him, and many say it’s the best learning experience of their careers.”

This is part of what the CEO and Board Chair of the Lifting Equipment Engineers Association (LEEA) had to say about our Jim Beauchamp, National Program Coordinator with Boilermakers National Training as they prepared to award him as their selection for Trainer of the Year – The Craig Morelli Award in front of a room filled with 450 colleagues from around the world.

LEEA is the leading trade association for all those involved in the lifting industry: setting standards, providing training, and offering technical and legal advice for the lifting industry. Formed in 1944, LEEA has grown to include over 1100 members operating in over 85 countries.

Facing competition from around the globe – the shortlist for this award included nominees from Canada, the UK, and Australia – Jim was selected due to “the lasting impression he inspires in individuals, organizations, and the rigging industry as a whole.”

Our deepest gratitude to Brother Beauchamp for his part in creating the next generation of Boilermakers, and for representing the Boilermakers so exceptionally on an international stage. Congratulations, Jim – we are so very proud of you.
