Construction Boilermakers are being asked to spend 10 minutes or less to fill out a short survey on the subject of bench rules.
The survey is available in Members Only and will be open until September 1.
Bench rules are set by the union and apply to Boilermakers who quit a job without good reason or are fired for cause. They involve temporary suspensions from dispatch privileges ranging from a week to a month.
“Bench rules are designed to help prevent situations that damage our image as professionals,” says International Vice-President Joe Maloney. “We need to hear our members’ opinions on this issue.”
Member input will be used to determine union policy on bench rules.
