The province of Ontario will be seeing significant investments in the nuclear power and petro-chemical industries. These investments will increase the demand for Boilermakers in Ontario starting in 2019.
- Nova Chemicals is investing $2 billion for two projects – the New Polyethylene Facility and Corunna Cracker Expansion. The Sarnia Journal reported on the foundation work at the site: New Nova plant to rise from the ground this year.
- Ontario’s nuclear power plants will be seeing billions of dollars in investments and will require the skills of a couple thousand Boilermakers. Learn more by clicking here. - Sarnia area will see a demand for Boilermakers starting in the Spring of 2019 to work the shutdowns in the Petro-Chemical plants.
Members of the International Brotherhood of Boilermakers are advised that if they wish to work in the Ontario nuclear industry, they will be required to get a security clearance and should contact lodge 128 for the forms.
