Today, September 30, marks Canada’s National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, a day to reflect on historical wrongs committed in residential schools that removed Indigenous children from their families and denied them their vital connection to their traditional cultures.

This year’s Boilermaker Industry Tripartite Conference, held in St. Andrews-By-The-Sea, New Brunswick from August 9 – 11, 2022 set a new bar for collective direction toward success for all stakeholders.

A total of eight workers, including four Boilermakers, two Millwrights and two Labourers, were injured at an explosion and fire at the refinery at Come-by-Chance, Newfoundland on September 2, 2022.

Boilermaker members from Local 128 are celebrating their 75th Anniversary. Parades were held in Toronto, Kingston, Hamilton, Port Elgin, and Sarnia.
