Fall protection training from Newfoundland and Labrador will now be accepted in Ontario as equal to Working at Heights Training.

More than two dozen Boilermakers of Lodge 146 have been locked out at CESSCO Fabrication and Engineering in Edmonton since June 28.

In the middle of Alberta’s Industrial Heartland, TIW Steel Platework Inc. built two 245-foot diameter by 70-foot tall storage tanks with internal floating roofs in just 6 months using the skills of Lodge 146 Boilermakers.

With the work picture for Boilermaker employment looking bright in British Columbia, the need to train new apprentices is imperative.
