Derek Hines, a member of International Brotherhood of Boilermakers D579, was killed September 15, 2020 while at work.

The Western Vancouver Island Industrial Heritage Society wishes to recognize the huge contribution that the Boilermakers, both retired and active, have made and continue to make on the rebuild of the boiler for the “No.7” steam locomotive over the past two years.
