CESSCO Fabrication and Engineering LTD has locked out long-time loyal employees at their shop in Edmonton, Alberta, to reduce their wages, benefits and work conditions.

The province of Saskatchewan has created the Office to Advance Women Apprentices Saskatchewan to support tradeswomen working in construction trades in the province.

On August 25th Members of Boilermakers Lodge 191 and Machinists’ Fitters & Helpers Local 3 voted in favour of a new agreement after their employer Nicholson Manufacturing Limited locked them out on August 17th on Vancouver Island.
