The International Executive Council has elected Brother Arnie Stadnick to become the new International Vice-President for Canada.

Following the in-depth Field Supervisor Training program, Local 73 held one-day Basic Steward and Health & Safety training at the Union Hall & Training Centre in Saint John, NB, on January 18.

Local 73 continues on it’s path to provide training to it members. The Field Supervisor Leadership two-day course took place on January 15th & 16th at the Saint John, NB, Union Hall and Training Centre.

The Boilermaker Foundation Training program is an opportunity for individuals looking to get into the trade. With the work picture picking up across the country, this is a good time to get into an elite trade like the Boilermakers. The British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT) offers a 23-week program that includes basic theory and hands-on practice to enable students to become competent in basic Boilermaker construction tasks.
