Following the in-depth Field Supervisor Training program, Local 73 held one-day Basic Steward and Health & Safety training at the Union Hall & Training Centre in Saint John, NB, on January 18.
The Basic Steward class covers the IBB constitution, collective agreement, jobs and the role of the steward. Training was conducted by International Representative Richard MacIntosh. National Heath & Safety Representative Blair Allin covered the steward’s role as the safety representative on the job site.
