Saskatchewan’s Women Apprentices

The province of Saskatchewan has created the Office to Advance Women Apprentices Saskatchewan to support tradeswomen working in construction trades in the province. The office has a mandate to offer support and increase employment opportunities for tradeswomen and women entering apprenticeable trades in Saskatchewan.

Boilermakers Lodge 555 (Regina, SK) has been a big supporter of women in the trades for a very long time. Sister Tracy Fedorowich, a welder and now a member of Lodge 555, called the Office to Advance Women Apprentices when struggling to find work. They helped her land a job with 555, turning her life around. Read more about Tracy’s experience with the Office to Advance Women Apprentices and Lodge 555’s partnership with the office.
